Bluetooth products for real-time, low latency wireless audio connections to standard audio equipment. BlueAir products are based on the Bluetooth standard for short range
wireless communication. The BlueAir Bluetooth Audio Adapter overcomes
all the connectivity, compatibility and latency problems previously
associated with trying to use Bluetooth headsets with anything other
than mobile ‘phones. It allows a Bluetooth headset to be connected
wirelessly to practically any standard analogue audio input/output, as
if it were an ordinary wired headset. It allows Bluetooth headsets to
be used as wireless microphones or monitoring earpieces by Bluetooth
enabling even the most antiquated of audio equipment. It can also be
used with computer sound cards whether or not the computer is itself
Bluetooth enabled (it simply plugs into the computer’s audio input and
output sockets.
For informal or impromptu performances, sound quality may not be as important as convenience and freedom of movement. BlueAir products exploit the increasing ubiquity of Bluetooth as a means of sending and receiving audio signals wirelessly. They make amplifying instruments and/or vocals (or using an earpiece to monitor a performance) as simple as using a Bluetooth headset with a mobile phone.
BlueAir product packages:
BlueAir Bluetooth Audio Adapter (BA-01). The package contains the BA-01 Bluetooth Audio Adapter Adapter and a range of audio connectors that allow it’s input and output jacks to be connected to the output and input, respectively, of virtually any audio equipment, from PAs and guitar amps to televisions, HiFi equipment and computers.
BlueStrings Is a package designed primarily for use as a wireless microphone for stringed acoustic instrument s but it can also be used as a vocal microphone and monitoring earpiece. The package contains the BA-01 Bluetooth Audio Adapter (with connectors), a BTH-120 three channel Bluetooth headset, a LiveStrings H-clamp and a multi-purpose shockmount (MS-01).
BlueVoice Is a package designed primarily for use as a wireless vocal microphone and monitoring earpiece. The package contains the BA-01 Bluetooth Audio Adapter (with connectors) and an MF-120 Bluetooth headset.
With BlueAir, you get everything you need to use any standard Bluetooth headset with practically any ordinary audio equipment, including:
- HiFi / audio visual equipment
- Computers
- MP3 and other personal music players / recorders
- Professional audio systems (public address, etc.)
For all applications, using BlueAir products is equally simple. Once the BlueAir Bluetooth Audio Adapter (BA-01) has been paired with a Bluetooth headset (a quick and easy process), operation is as simple as pressing one button. Pressing the headset’s call button (sometimes also called the “multi-function” button) opens the audio channels. Pressing it again closes them. It’s that easy, whatever audio equipment is connected to the BA-01. With the BA-01, any Bluetooth headset can be used either as a wireless microphone or as an ear speaker to monitor any audio source (or both together). There are no adjustments to make (other than volume) for any of these modes of operation. When the Bluetooth headset’s call button is pressed, whatever source is connected to the BA-01’s input jack will be transmitted to the headset and whatever audio equipment is connected to the BA-01’s output jack will receive audio signals from the headset’s microphone.
With BlueAir products in your kit bag you need never be without a convenient means of plugging-in to audio equipment for basic amplification and/or recording. The quality of the sound reproduced is, of course, limited by the capabilities of the Bluetooth headset and can not currently compete with ‘serious’ audio equipment. But ‘serious’ audio equipment does not come in such a compact, light and unobtrusive package and does not have such diverse uses. Some but by no means all, of these are outlined in the applications notes.
