Chris Newman, a renowned acoustic guitarist, preformed on stage with the H-clamp at Acoustic Avalon in Leicester on 18th and 19th November. Using only a microphone for amplification to demonstrate the beauty of the Collings guitar sound, Chirs played a selection of Collings guitars, including his own 000-2H.
One of the guitars on which the H-clamp was mounted was the "Baby" Collings, illustrating that the 'H' is equally unobtrusive on the smallest of guitars. The microphone held on the H was a DPA 4028 and the amplified sound was as natural and 'real' as listening to the performance entirely without amplification. Posted on 18 Nov 2006
