Latest News › The Guitarist reviews the H-clamp

The H-clamp featured in the "Quick Test" section of the March 2007 issue of The Guitarist. Reviewer Trevor Curwin's verdict was "The H-clamp is a great idea well executed. Practical and convenient it neatly fills a functional niche in both recorded and live sound."

NOTE: The picture accompanying this review shows the H-clamp with its boom inserted the wrong way round for most mounting positions (it is used in this orientation only when mounted 'upside down'). If used in the usual mounting positions, with the boom inserted this way round, the slot in the top disk would be clamped on the instrument instead of outboard of it. Not only does this prevent the boom from being elevated properly but it can also lead to problems with the seating of the top disk's 'o'-rings. See Potential problems & remedies: Top disk 'o'-rings for details.
